AT WORK
The Eighth Annual Fill the Box Campaign, held in 2024/2025, is a powerful example of your donations at work. That year, we sponsored 21 families in need and provided nearly $15,000 in cash-value donations, along with more than 1,000 toys valued at an additional $10,000, to the Child Life Departments at Tufts Medical Center and Pediatric Neurology at Hasbro Children's Hospital. These contributions, totaling over $25,000, were made possible through the generosity of hundreds of donors and direct funding from the Mighty Meredith Project.

As we enter our ninth year, the Mighty Meredith Project has contributed more than $200,000 in donations to support the Fill the Box campaign. None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our community.
WHY

The Mighty Meredith Project remains deeply committed to its mission of being Mighty Giving. What began as a way to pay forward kindness during Meredith’s medical journey has grown into a year-round effort to support hospitals in need. While our annual Fill the Box campaign, held each holiday season, remains our largest event, it fuels the compassion, connection, and giving that carry us through the entire year.

Our impact now reaches far beyond holiday gifts. We provide ongoing assistance to local hospitals, deliver essential items to families facing medical challenges, and proudly award scholarships to local high school students who embody kindness in their everyday actions, continuing Meredith’s legacy of empathy and generosity.

Tax Exempt Status

Mighty Meredith Project, Inc. is an IRS certified 501(c)(3) public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 170. EIN 82-4614560

Product Donations
Donors who itemize their tax returns are entitled to make a "fair market value" deduction from their federal income tax. The Mighty Meredith Project cannot provide donors with a value for their goods (non-cash) donations. Donors are required by federal law to place their own value on donated items.
​
Please note that under the Pension Reform Act of 2006: Donated items must be in good condition in order to claim a deduction, and a qualified appraisal must accompany claims greater than $500. The law does not define "good condition," and the IRS says the responsibility of defining the condition and value of the items is the responsibility of the donor.

Financial Donations
Donors who make financial donations to the Mighty Meredith Project via check will receive a confirmation of your donation no later than January 15 of the following year in which the donation was made. Your Pay Pal receipt from donations made online serves as your donation receipt.
