Meredith is the reason for the existence of the Mighty Meredith Project.  In an effort to create a new normal, one of her many physicians encouraged Meredith to get involved with something that would help replace what she had lost in terms of her participation in contact sports/activities, and to help with the associated psychological impact of having a chronic medical condition.   Therefore, after several months of discussing the purpose and potential charitable offerings, the Mighty Meredith Project was born.

Today, Meredith is a freshman in college studying Nursing at Quinnipiac University. As a patient for many years, she knows how to make people feel special and that they "matter", making nursing a natural career choice.  She is forever thankful for her friends and family who have been, and continue to be by her side through this journey.
