The Mighty Meredith Project

The Mighty Meredith Project was founded by Meredith Casey and her family after she suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in December 2015—a life-changing event that required her to redefine her “normal” and navigate the challenges of a hidden illness. What began as a way to raise awareness for TBIs and invisible diseases has grown into a movement built on kindness, compassion, and giving back to others facing difficult journeys of their own.

From its earliest days, the MMP has been guided by three core pillars:

Mighty Kind — Promoting kindness, especially toward those who may be fighting battles we cannot see
Mighty Giving — Supporting local hospitals, medical teams, and families in need
Mighty Smart — Educating others on traumatic brain injuries and the realities of living with a hidden illness

Over the years, the MMP has evolved into a year-round force for good. Our mission has changed to be focused beyond awareness into action, providing meaningful support to hospitals, offering comfort to families facing medical hardship, and recognizing young people who lead with empathy through our kindness-based scholarships.

Our largest initiative, the annual Fill the Box campaign, now serves as the heartbeat of our giving season. Held each holiday season, it fuels our ability to deliver toys, gift cards, and essential items to Child Life Departments and community hospitals throughout the year. With more than $200,000 donated to date—and thousands of toys and gift cards distributed, the impact of this effort continues to grow thanks to the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses who believe in our mission.

The Mighty Meredith Project remains deeply rooted in kindness and fueled by the desire to lift others up. What started as one girl’s journey has become a community-driven effort to bring hope, comfort, and support to those who need it most.

Together, we are Mighty.

Mighty Giving

The Mighty Meredith Project gives back to the medical community where Meredith received treatment, now with additional beneficiaries.

Mighty Kind

The Mighty Meredith Project promotes kindness and care of others who have either experienced head trauma and are suffering silently.

Mighty smart

The Mighty Meredith Project is dedicated to bringing education and awareness to TBI's and the impacts of having a "hidden disease".
